Streaming games in 720p versus 1080p

720p streamis one of the world's most beloved sports streaming websites. You can find links to popular sports events such as NHL, NBA, NFL,It looks like I'm streaming in 720p rather than 1080p. It's watchable but certainly doesn't look clear and crisp. I noticed it's worse with a game I'm streaming called DNF Duel.
